| Once upon a time, in a land called Washington, there lived two fine
young men. As they grew up, each of them learned sharing and caring
attitudes toward others and the place they called home. Their love
for the place they live became the foundation for the development of the
Where-I-Live company.
All Where-I-Live products are created around one central theme, a core
combination of respect, sharing, caring and appreciation for the
immediate, past and future environment. It is their belief that with
proper guidance and instruction based on this central ideal, the world can
be a better place. This is a challenging concept, undeniably based in
decency, and many believe it is a major factor in achieving the much
sought-after state of harmony in which we’d all like to live.
The founders of Where-I-Live are Del Thompson and Vern Foster. Both are
men of integrity with a deep passion for their families and their
community. Early in the development of the company, they realized that
everyone can benefit from a better understanding of the area in which they
live. They recognize that the educational systems in both public and
private learning institutions already do a good job of teaching world,
national and state history as well as local history and current event
issues. They thought it would be beneficial to all involved if there could
be a way to present valuable information in an entertaining manner. Thus
Where-I-Live was developed. Through their products you will learn about
your community from its founding days to current time.
Del and Vern believe that an expanded knowledge of the local community
naturally results in community pride, which shows itself in long-lasting
and positive ways such as goodwill toward others and a desire to protect
and preserve the community they share. The goal at Where-I-Live is to
spread the important message of the necessity for
appreciation and respect for the community to all via many
avenues. They believe that whatever the vehicle of delivery, the message
should be fun as well as educational. Both Vern & Del encourage you to
join them in promoting these ideals.
